SLEEP
Deep and far away, under stars as bright as anywhere on this planet. So silent you can mistake your own heartbeat for footstep sounds on the perimeter of the campground. So deep that REM sleep goes on and on. Flying dreams, in focus and in color. Visual images so striking you can't forget them!

THE OVER LOOK
When a fly buzzing past your ear sounds like a small plane, you know that you are beginning to "come-into-phase" with the desert. Time & Space are coming together. Sitting still and silent, viewing miles and miles of desert wilderness is good for the soul! Once we achieve this extraordinary state of conscienceless holding on to it is the trick. Just being able to recognize it is the first step, acknowledge it and move on. The power of experience has a way of staying with you.
