Part of the Death Valley Monument, the Racetrack is much more than a dry lakebed. It is one of the most spiritual places we've ever been. This is the place where the rocks move mysteriously across the surface of a perfectly flat dry lake. Tres Hombres visited the Racetrack in 1986 on our first camping trip together as a trio. This trip was life altering for all of us because of the things we saw and felt. Also this first trip set the tone for all the trips since. We have made it a point to go at least once a year and sometimes twice during the same calendar year. The photo composite illustration represents the spiritual connection we feel when we are there. The geometric shapes are the classic three shapes for learning "light logic". The leaves represent life and nature, the pounded metal is hand made. The all-seeing eye represents vision.
